¿How we achieve that?
-
In order to achieve that rate of growth Colombia needs a shared vision, one that will focus action from the government, academia and the private sector.
-
We understand that the role of government is to provide adequate legal and macroeconomic conditions to promote a healthy and dynamic economy. The government produces public policy, necessary for continuous growth. However, a good environment is not enough to achieve the goal. We need a business environment and microeconomic policies that enhance productivity of the private sector and create a collaborative framework among the government, business sector, academia and workers.
-
The main role of the private sector is to create value and to promote profitable business that leads the country to prosperity.
-
Neither the government or private companies have all the right incentives to keep the eye on the ball and maintain focus on the long term goals for the country. The Consejo Privado de Competitividad ? CPC ? was created with the mission to maintain a high awareness level on this issue, to provide the long term vision of Colombia in terms of competitiveness and to deliver an action agenda that drives economic growth and productivity. The action agenda will pull joint and coordinate efforts from the public, civil society and the private sector.
